Sorry the posts have been a little slow but life is getting in the way of art or should I say displaying my art. But here is a quick page i put together using one of the new ranges from Kaisercraft. I used the prompt from Pixels and Paper and this month it is candy Hearts........

Scrap The Girls - Feb

Scrap the girls is always a great challenge and this month is no exception. I know I love so many things but pages with more than 1 photo is high on that list so when I saw this months challenge I knew I had to have a go.......

   

I tried to make the page work for me the same as the sketch but my photos would have nothing of it so in the end I turned the page on its side and there it was............ It all just fell into place.

Weekly Challenge - Hearts

   

Well so much for showing you all everyday what I got up to at retreat...... But that another story, needless to say it was a great weekend with great friends and lots of scrapping....... So this weeks challenge is hearts

I used some of the great Coco Vanilla Birthday range and the photo is from my birthday week..... and what a week that was.......

Summer Retreat - Day !

I Love RETREATS...........

There is nothing I love more than sitting down with a group of friends to scrapbook and chat and creating and just having fun.........

The juices have been following today and I have made some great pages that you will get to see over the coming month. Alicia has given us a lot of in house challenges as well and I have been working like mad on these......

Legomen.........Daddy I need........

So its time for my Scrap the Boys page, but I need to give you a little background on the photos. My Dad is a great crafter and his medium is wood. He has made some of the most wonderful things for us all from boxes to bowls. So while I was spending a little (ok a lot) of time on Pinterest I came across these........

Then the words that I have uttered for the last 40 years came out. "Daddy I Need"......so I printed him out lots of pictures and left him too it..... He took heaps of photos of the lego men around his shed. When I saw that the Scrap the boys challenge was something new I figured that my lego men were something new.............

So enough chatting and here is my page..........

White With One........ Blue Jeans

What with the retreat at Scrapbook Fantasies starting tomorrow,I have been so busy helping Alicia set up the shop and pack the most wonderful kits for everyone to use. I am wondering where I found the time to work on any challenges at all. But how could I not work on White with One..........

So here is the challenge for this month.........

But to spice things up they gave us a sketch as well............

So that put a twist in the Challenge.

But this is what I came up with, I love these photos I took while I was at Queensland Venture, and when I had them printed I had a play with the collage feature. I love it, so without waffling on much more here is my page.............

 

No close ups today as it is a great clean and simple page.

Scrapbook Fantasies Quarterly Retreat

  

Have you heard Scrapbook Fantasies is having it Quarterly Retreat......... And what a great long weekend it is. Alicia opens the shop at 9 am on Friday morning and we all move in if we haven't done so the day before. Alicia sets her classroom at the back of the shop to fit us all in and places are limited so there is heaps of room for everyone. There we scrap until we can scrap no more. All night all day all night as much as you want for as long as you want. And the best part for a cook is the fact that Alicia's husband Quentin does all the cooking from morning tea on Friday right up to afternoon tea on Sunday. How good is that, for someone who cooks for a living the best thing is to be cooked for. Anyway how about some photos from around the shop..........

There is a great kit for everyone to use for the 3 classes that happen over the weekend. One of which I get to teach. So here is my class that happens Saturday morning.......

Denim Blue

Its that time again for the Weekly Challenge at Scrapbook Fantasies. This weeks Challenge is.........

The hardest part of this challenge was choosing the photos. After working on outback cattle stations for 15 years I have lots of photos with people in jeans that would be great for this page. 

 

So here is the page I came up with, it is an old photo from when I first moved out to Noccundra........

Red Friends Flowers

So I have been busting to tell you I have been named in the Design Team over at 123 Challenge Blog. I am sooooooo happy I could burst. I have been on the design team over at Scrapbook Fantasies for the last 3 years but mainly doing pages for in house display and teaching at the most wonderful retreats that Alicia holds in store. Well what you are all here for............

I have always loved using flowers on pages. Here I have used a mix of Prima and Kaisercraft Flowers in some wonderful shades of red.
